Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The foundation of Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®) is, and always has been, the promotion of respect for the holistic growth and development of infants and toddlers, the way they see the world and their place in it. This respect for each individual’s unique self extends to adults as well and we believe that by developing meaningful relationships across lines of difference, we gain access to perspectives, personal stories, ways of thinking, learning, and being that can inform our understanding of each other.

At RIE, we are committed to creating a community where each child and adult can be who they are and feel accepted, seen, understood and valued as a part of the whole. We are working towards building more diversity in our families, students, caregivers, and staff. We recognize that our commitment to this work is long-term; it is part of a larger, ongoing evaluation of our organization, our practices, and systems, and of ourselves as individuals dedicated to envisioning and cultivating a society where everyone thrives.
