2023 Keynote PresentationGuided from the Inside Out: Fostering Children’s Intuition
Terry Marks-Tarlow has a B.A. in psychology from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from UCLA. She has written countless articles and authored eleven books as well as being an accomplished artist. For over a decade, she has been studying interpersonal neurobiology and regulation theory with Dr. Allan Schore and has taught developmental neurobiology at the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute and at Reiss Davis Child Studies Center. Dr. Marks-Tarlow is currently an Adjunct Professor at Pacifica Graduate Institute and at California Institute of Integral Studies and is Core Teaching Faculty at the Insight Center, Los Angeles, where she regularly conducts continuing education workshops and classes. Dr. Marks-Tarlow, who is a prolific author, psychologist, developmental theorist, artist and mom, will discuss the critical importance of supporting intuition in young children and how to do that. She will offer a neurobiological model for how intuition provides a lifelong framework for moving from the inside out.
