About Parent-Infant Guidance Class

This is the default image

A different kind of “mommy & me” class.

RIE’s signature class brings parents and their babies together to learn about and enjoy their babies’ development and see the RIE approach in practice. Guided by a RIE Associate, parents learn how to read their baby’s cues, style, and preferences, and recognize what their baby is learning. Parents become more conscious and confident in how they guide their baby.

Who is this Class for?

This class is for any parents–moms, dads, guardians–of infants or toddlers from newborns to two years old, who want to learn more about their baby, develop a more mindful parenting style, meet like-minded parents, and learn how the RIE Approach supports babies’ development and parents’ confidence.

Learning Objectives.

We’ll show you how to provide an infant- or toddler-safe environment where babies can be babies and new parents can relax and enjoy their child’s unfolding development.

Designed around free movement and play, we allow infants to move, explore, and engage with other infants. Parents and babies alike find community in our classes.

Parents learn how to better understand and support their infants’ development and lay the foundation for a healthy relationship that will carry your child through life. You’ll feel more confident in your ability to respond to their needs and enjoy parenting more.

With guidance from RIE’s relationship-centered approach, we explore common parenting issues and your infant’s development from birth to two years old, including:

  • Body sense
  • Movement
  • Social-emotional
  • Cognitive
  • Language
  • Approach to learning

FAQs about this Class

This is the first item’s accordion body. It is shown by default, until the collapse plugin adds the appropriate classes that we use to style each element. These classes control the overall appearance, as well as the showing and hiding via CSS transitions. You can modify any of this with custom CSS or overriding our default variables. It’s also worth noting that just about any HTML can go within the .accordion-body, though the transition does limit overflow.
